Social Six In Chiswick

We find that many of our patients are keen to straighten their teeth so they can be proud of their smile, but are reluctant to do so as they don’t want the braces to be visible for both professional and social reasons.

The Social Six lingual brace system is an excellent solution as it uses braces fixed to the back of the teeth to straighten just the ‘social six’ teeth that can be seen when you smile.

Social Six lingual braces are ideal for treating mild to moderate misalignments, and even minor gap problems, quickly and easily. Although treatment times vary between patients, we would expect a patient to typically require the Social Six braces to be in place for between 6 – 16 weeks.

Your dentist will take the time to discuss your requirements and straightening options, and then make recommendations based on your suitability and circumstances. If you both feel that the Social Six treatment is the right treatment route, your dentist will take an impression of your teeth, which is then sent to a lab so your custom-made brace can be produced.

Once it is ready, you will return to the dentist to have the Social Six lingual brace fitted. The six brackets will be firmly attached to the back of the teeth with a dental cement, connected by a wire which will gently begin to move your teeth into place.

Lingual braces can take a little time to get used to, due to their position behind the teeth and by the tongue, but any slight discomfort and effects on speech should quickly settle down. Your dentist will help you to understand the most effective ways to maintain a healthy mouth and brace, which could include regular dental hygiene appointments, and arrange for you to have regular check-ups to monitor the progress and make adjustments.

In just a few weeks you will have a smile you can be truly proud, ideal if you’re approaching a special event like a wedding or birthday party.

How Do Social Six Braces Work?

Social Six Braces work similarly to traditional braces, but they are specifically designed to target the front six teeth. The braces are discreet and typically use clear or tooth-colored brackets, making them less noticeable. These braces apply gentle pressure to gradually move the front teeth into alignment, improving both function and appearance. The treatment is usually faster than traditional braces, with results achieved in a shorter time frame.

Benefits of Social Six Braces
